Now Christmas is coming to an end, and soon a new year will begin. Holidays can often be revealing. Revealing in the sense that we take stock of how we truly feel and how we relate to each other.
When we have time with ourselves and our loved ones, our patterns and states of mind become particularly clear. Perhaps we are especially triggered by being with a family member, or maybe it's the entire family dynamic. Maybe we become aware of a state of mind within ourselves that we otherwise don't notice in the busy everyday life. For some, having more free time can be a significant challenge. Restlessness can arise, where one may experience a flurry of thoughts and physical discomfort - it can be difficult just to be with a clear conscience.
As a new year begins, it is a welcome opportunity to make an active effort to feel better. A fresh start. A time to break free from patterns and beliefs that no longer serve you. And perhaps a time to step out of your comfort zone and make radical changes that bring you lasting joy. Many focus on the body, shedding the extra pounds that may have accumulated during the holidays and adopting new healthy exercise habits. But one's mental well-being is equally important.
Choosing to actively create change may at times require support - support in the form of therapy. Meeting someone who doesn't know you, where the slate is completely clean. It's like taking a blank canvas and painting the beautiful landscape that you truly contain. Anything is possible when we dare to look at what is difficult with love and gentleness. I support you every step of the way in unfolding your story and, with gentle brushstrokes, seeing new possibilities in your beautiful landscape. So, what is important to you in the coming year?
