When you experience a crack of light, it is your soul calling

Life can offer many challenges from childhood through adulthood. These challenges can manifest in us becoming trapped in our ego - caught in a victim role, which can be difficult to break free from because we believe that the outside world is responsible for our suffering. We can even become so entrenched in our ego and victim role that we feel trapped in what seems like an eternal prison.

This manifests in a very one-dimensional negative narrative about one's life. For example, "I was unwanted as a child", "all the bosses I've had have been psychopaths", "my partners have always cheated on me", "I never have any money", "I'm always sick", "I feel exploited in my relationships", etc. Now, these examples are exaggerated, although for some, it may mirror reality.

But who says that the negative narrative, which seems incredibly real to the one experiencing it, needs to be reality? Let's assume it's an illusion. This can be extremely provocative for some because it feels very real. This is also not an attempt to dismiss what feels genuine to the individual, but rather an attempt to explore and ask the question, "Is it true?"

When we pause and ask the question "Is it true," we make room for a new reality to unfold. An opportunity to break free from the prison that a negative narrative about one's life can be. An invitation to see the world in a new way. Because in reality, it's never too late to change the script of one's life.

This requires a willingness to change because there can also be a reward in holding onto old patterns. Even in the most destructive and painful beliefs and patterns, there is a sense of security. Therein lies the familiarity, and stepping out of one's comfort zone can seem anxiety-provoking and overwhelming, even if the reward is a dignified life filled with joy.

So what is the purpose of life? Is it pure suffering, or are we actually put on this earth to enjoy life? And can we change the course of our lives?

It's actually quite simple. We are put on this earth to enjoy life. Enjoy life in all aspects of our journey here on earth. It requires us to wake up to the fact that life is not random. That we actually have a choice. That we are the creators of our own reality. It requires us to be willing to forgive and let go and focus on everything we are grateful for in our lives, even the smallest things. That we can learn to love ourselves unconditionally with all that it entails.

If we can master this, the course can change radically in our lives. We will begin to attract all the good and feel surrounded by love. This is where you can experience a crack of light, which is your soul calling. Calling because the meaning of your life has always been for you to enjoy and lean into life and know that you are loved by something greater. It's a feeling of coming home. Waking up. Raising consciousness and seeing it all from above.

As a spiritual psychotherapist, I support you in finding home. Finding your true essence, your higher self, which is the part of you that is all-loving and wants the best for you. It's the part of you that has been there all along and has the highest consciousness and intelligence, flowing from the heart. So when you experience a crack of light, it's your soul calling.
